### Instant 2026 Cost & Coverage Estimator

Toggle service type & tank capacity to compare local rates, home warranty coverage, and repair financing.

Includes vacuum haul, manifest disposal & baffle visual check.

## Septic Tank Pumping Frequency Calculator

Calculate your exact recommended pumping interval in years and months to prevent solid carryover and avoid costly drain field repairs.

Adds un-digested food solids. Shortens pumping interval by ~35%.

WaterSense toilets & aerators. Reduces hydraulic surge.

Under the EPA Ireland National Inspection Plan & Code of Practice 2021, DWWTS systems must be de-sludged by an authorized NWCPO-permitted contractor. Retain sludge dockets for 5 years.

## EPA Ireland & Local Authority De-sludging Mandates

Under the **Water Services Act**, owners of domestic wastewater treatment systems are legally required to register their system on *protectourwater.ie*, operate it properly, and ensure it does not pose a risk to human health or the environment.

#### 1. Mandatory Registration

Every septic tank in Ireland must be registered with your County Council on protectourwater.ie.

#### 2. NWCPO Sludge Dockets

Only use waste contractors with a valid NWCPO permit and retain dockets for 5 years.

#### 3. Grants (Up to €12,000)

Grants of up to €12,000 are available through local authorities to repair failed systems.
